The mission of Scribbles Learning Center is to create a stimulating and nurturing environment where children of all abilities, regardless of socio-economic or cultural background, can grow and learn together in acceptance of one another. This mission is carried out daily by highly trained staff, low teacher/child ratios, specialized curriculum, and contracted therapy services. At Scribbles Learning Center, we value the importance of character, commitment to the family, commitment to the community, respect for the individual, and celebrating our differences.
Each day with us will be a chance for your child to grow socially, cognitively, emotionally, and physically. As early as infancy, your child will be provided with learning opportunities adapted to fit his or her age, developmental stage, and learning style. Full-day, year-round care and all-day preschool in one location makes it possible for you to provide your child with the care and education that will help them become happy, healthy lifelong learners.
Who we are
Scribbles Learning Center is a privately owned early childhood program dedicated to providing a high-quality educational experience for children from infancy through preschool. Located in East Wareham, MA, our mission is to create a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Our foundation is built on experience, dedication, and innovation. Our founder and lead educator brings over 20 years of hands-on experience as a kindergarten teacher, deeply understanding the developmental needs and learning styles of young children. This extensive background shapes everything we do, ensuring that each child receives nurturing guidance tailored to support their growth, curiosity, and love of learning.
My teaching journey began in Easton, MA, where I completed my student teaching and then spent two decades growing alongside the community as a dedicated educator. Starting as a student teacher and eventually running my own classroom in the same district gave me a unique perspective on the importance of consistency, trust, and building strong relationships with both students and families. This long-standing connection to the community fuels my passion to create a childcare environment where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired.
What truly sets Scribbles Learning Center apart is our commitment to integrating the latest technology with proven educational practices. We proudly use the Experience Curriculum, a dynamic and research-based program that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and social-emotional development in a structured yet engaging way. This curriculum empowers our educators to deliver personalized learning experiences that meet each child where they are.
Communication is key in building strong partnerships with families. That's why we utilize Brightwheel's communication tools-a seamless platform that keeps parents connected every day. Through Brightwheel, parents can easily track their child's meals, naps, activities, and milestones, as well as receive photos, videos, and updates directly from their child's teachers. This level of transparency and engagement ensures that families feel involved and informed, making Scribbles Learning Center more than just a daycare-it's a community dedicated to early childhood excellence.
PARENT COMMUNICATION
We believe that the quality of early childhood development thrives on a strong connection between parents and their care providers. To keep parents engaged in their child's daily learning and care, we use Brightwheel software. This platform allows:
Teachers to record meals, naps, and activities with ease.
Teachers to share photos, videos, and notes directly with parents in real time.
Teachers to submit lesson plans up to 4 weeks in advance for parents to review.
Parents to notify teachers if their child will be absent due to illness or vacation.
Brightwheel helps us keep you connected to your child's day, every day.
WEEKLY NEWSLETTERS
At the end of each week, parents receive our newsletter either by email or as a printed copy. Our Weekly Links provide a glimpse into the specific topics and activities your child explored throughout the week. At Scribbles Learning Center, we believe that active parental involvement is key to supporting your child's early learning journey.
PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES
At Scribbles Learning Center, we are dedicated to helping each child reach their fullest potential. To support this goal, we hold formal parent-teacher conferences throughout the year. These meetings offer parents a comprehensive understanding of our curriculum standards and how specific goals and objectives are designed to promote their child’'s development. We believe that strong partnerships between parents and teachers are essential for creating positive and meaningful learning experiences.
