Job Title: Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher
Location: Scribbles Learning Center - East Wareham, MA

Job Summary:
Scribbles Learning Center is seeking a nurturing, experienced, and passionate Infant Lead Teacher to join our team. This role is responsible for creating a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants ages 0-15 months. The ideal candidate will foster meaningful relationships, promote early learning through play and exploration, and ensure a safe, loving classroom that supports every child's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, responsive care to infants in accordance with their individual needs and developmental stages
Plan and implement curriculum using the Experience Baby program, including age-appropriate sensory activities, language development, motor skills, and social-emotional learning
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that complies with Massachusetts EEC licensing regulations
Conduct daily health checks and monitor developmental milestones
Partner with families through daily communication, developmental updates, and regular parent conferences
Supervise and support assistant teachers and floaters within the classroom
Complete documentation including daily reports, incident logs, curriculum planning, and developmental assessments
Follow all center policies, including health & safety protocols, diapering and feeding procedures, and classroom management guidelines
Qualifications:
Must meet Massachusetts EEC Lead Teacher certification requirements for Infant/Toddler
At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred)
Minimum 9 months of experience working with infants in a licensed early childhood program
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills

Scribbles Learning Center is looking for a compassionate and attentive Infant Assistant Teacher to support our lead teachers in providing high-quality care to infants (ages 0-15 months). This position is ideal for someone who is nurturing, dependable, and passionate about infant development. You will help foster a calm, safe, and stimulating environment where babies can explore, bond, and thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the lead teacher in caring for infants by providing warm, responsive, and developmentally appropriate interactions
Support daily routines such as feeding, diapering, napping, and sensory play
Follow all health and safety guidelines, including sanitation and hygiene procedures, in compliance with Massachusetts EEC regulations
Engage infants in age-appropriate experiences using the Experience Baby curriculum
Monitor each infant's physical, emotional, and developmental needs
Comfort and soothe infants using appropriate calming techniques and consistent routines
Maintain open, respectful communication with families and team members
Help document infant milestones and daily activities through written reports and classroom observations
Work closely with the lead teacher and other staff to create a loving and collaborative classroom culture
Qualifications:
Must meet Massachusetts EEC Assistant Teacher certification requirements or be actively working toward certification
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience working with infants in a licensed child care setting preferred
CPR and First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain)
Gentle, patient demeanor with strong attention to safety and nurturing care
Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with a team
