Schedule: Monday-Friday, Full-Time
Compensation: Competitive hourly pay, based on experience and certification
About Us:
At Scribbles Learning Center, we believe in the power of play, relationships, and individualized learning. Located in East Wareham, MA, our inclusive child care center supports children from infancy through preschool in a warm, developmentally appropriate environment. We are seeking a passionate, patient, and energetic Toddler Teacher to join our Scribbles Crew and guide our busy toddlers through discovery, learning, and emotional growth.
Your Role:
As a Toddler Teacher, you will:
Design and implement engaging, play-based activities using the Experience Toddler Curriculum
Foster toddlers' independence, motor skills, language development, and social-emotional growth
Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing classroom environment
Provide consistent structure and routine to support toddlers during transitions
Communicate effectively with families and provide daily updates
Document children's developmental milestones and behavior
Collaborate with assistant teachers and staff to ensure classroom success
Follow all EEC regulations and Scribbles Learning Center policies
Qualifications:
EEC Toddler Lead Teacher Certification (or in process) - required
Minimum of 1 year experience working with toddlers in a licensed early childhood setting
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Understanding of toddler behavior and developmentally appropriate practices
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Passion for creating a playful, respectful, and supportive environment for young children

About Scribbles Learning Center:
Scribbles Learning Center is a nurturing, play-based early childhood program committed to helping children grow through hands-on learning and meaningful relationships. Our toddler classroom is a busy, joyful space where children build independence, develop social-emotional skills, and explore the world around them. We are currently seeking a warm, dependable, and energetic Toddler Assistant Teacher to support our teaching team.
Position Summary:
As a Toddler Assistant Teacher, you will work under the guidance of the Lead Teacher to ensure that children are cared for, engaged, and safe throughout the day. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys toddler energy, loves supporting early development, and is excited to grow in the field of early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily routines including arrival, diapering/toileting, meals, naptime, and transitions
Engage toddlers in developmentally appropriate play, songs, art, and outdoor time
Support and reinforce lessons and activities based on the Experience Toddler Curriculum
Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment
Foster a positive, respectful tone with children, families, and coworkers
Help with classroom prep, organization, and maintaining child records
Support emotional regulation and behavior guidance using positive strategies
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior experience working with toddlers in a group setting preferred
EEC Teacher Certification or willingness to obtain (we can help guide you)
CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified
Ability to lift 40 lbs, sit on the floor, and actively participate in play and care
Enthusiastic, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
Passion for working with toddlers and supporting early childhood development
