Location: Scribbles Learning Center - East Wareham, MA

Job Summary:

Scribbles Learning Center is looking for a nurturing and energetic Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys guiding young children through one of the most exciting and fast-paced stages of development. As a Toddler Teacher, you will foster independence, curiosity, and foundational skills using the Experience Toddler curriculum, while maintaining a classroom environment built on warmth, consistency, and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement daily activities using the Experience Toddler curriculum that support cognitive, motor, language, and social-emotional development

  • Create and maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment that complies with Massachusetts EEC regulations

  • Foster supportive, responsive relationships with children, offering consistent guidance, redirection, and positive reinforcement

  • Encourage emerging independence in feeding, toileting, dressing, and daily routines

  • Observe and document developmental milestones and behaviors, maintaining child portfolios and daily reports

  • Communicate regularly and respectfully with families through written updates, conversations, and conferences

  • Collaborate with assistant teachers and administrators to ensure consistency in care and learning

  • Follow all Scribbles policies and procedures, including diapering and sanitation practices

Qualifications:

  • Must meet Massachusetts EEC Teacher certification requirements for Infant/Toddler

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred

  • Minimum of 9 months experience working with toddlers in a licensed child care setting

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Ability to multitask, stay patient in a busy classroom, and work effectively with a team

  • Passion for early childhood development and a commitment to creating a caring, engaging classroom

Job Summary:

Scribbles Learning Center is seeking a warm, patient, and dependable Toddler Teacher Assistant to support our lead toddler teachers in creating a safe, loving, and stimulating environment for children ages 15 months to 2.9 years. The ideal candidate will assist with daily routines, foster emerging independence, and help implement a play-based curriculum using Experience Toddler.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the lead teacher in delivering developmentally appropriate learning activities

  • Engage toddlers in hands-on exploration, sensory play, music, movement, and story time

  • Assist with daily care routines including diapering, toileting, meals, and rest time

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom that follows EEC regulations

  • Help manage transitions and routines in a calm, consistent, and supportive manner

  • Provide nurturing one-on-one and small group interactions throughout the day

  • Observe and communicate child behaviors and developmental progress to the lead teacher

  • Partner with team members to create a respectful and inclusive classroom culture

  • Build trusting relationships with children and families through kind, professional communication

Qualifications:

  • Must meet Massachusetts EEC Assistant Teacher qualifications or be actively working toward them

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Prior experience in a toddler or early childhood setting preferred

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs and participate in active play

  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain)
