Why You Will Never See Photos of Our Children on Social Media Platforms
At Scribbles Learning Center, one of our highest priorities is protecting the privacy, dignity, and safety of every child in our care. In today’'s digital world, it can feel normal for schools and childcare programs to post photos of children on social media. You’'ve probably seen the posts —- smiling faces, art projects, playground fun.
But at Scribbles, we’'ve made a very intentional decision:
You will never see photos of our children on Facebook, Instagram, or any public social media platform.
And here’'s why.
Children Deserve Privacy
Children cannot consent to having their images shared publicly on the internet. Once a photo is posted online, it can be downloaded, shared, copied, and stored anywhere —- often without parents even realizing it.
At Scribbles, we believe childhood moments belong to families, not the public internet.
Safety Comes First
Protecting children means protecting their identities and locations. Posting photos of children online can unintentionally expose:
Names
Locations
Daily routines
Identifiable backgrounds
Even when done with the best intentions, these details can create unnecessary risks.
Our philosophy is simple:
If it isn’'t necessary, we don’'t do it.
Families Still Get Every Moment
Just because we don’'t post children publicly doesn’'t mean parents miss out on the magic happening inside our classrooms.
Instead, we use Brightwheel, a secure childcare communication platform designed specifically for schools and families.
Through Brightwheel, parents receive:
Real-time photos and updates
Daily reports and milestones
Classroom moments and activities
Direct communication with teachers
Most importantly, only parents and approved family members can see these photos.
Families Control the Sharing
From Brightwheel, parents can download and share photos with grandparents, relatives, and friends however they choose.
This puts the control where it belongs:
With the family.
Not with a public social media algorithm.
Our Focus is the Children —- Not the Content
Social media can sometimes turn childhood into content. Programs compete for likes, comments, and shares.
At Scribbles, we are focused on something far more important:
Meaningful play
Safe exploration
Emotional development
Real childhood moments
We are not building a social media highlight reel.
We are building a childhood worth remembering.
Our Promise to Families
When you choose Scribbles Learning Center, you can trust that your child’'s privacy will always be respected.
No public photos.
No social media posts of children.
No exceptions.
Just a safe, joyful place where kids can learn, grow, and be little —- exactly as childhood should be.
And when those beautiful moments happen?
They will be shared securely with you —- the people who matter most.
